Abstract

Conformance testing is a testing method used to ensure that a product or service manufactured by a company or organization complies with a given set of rules and standards, also referred to as compliance. Large, reputable organizations like IEEE, W3C, and others have defined these rules or standards. Private companies that specialize in that particular field perform the compliance testing. The business ensures that conformance testing is completed before the product or service is deployed to ensure that all requirements set forth for the project have been met. Type testing, compliance testing, and other names are also used for it.
